Terms of Service

The short version

Deliverybot runs deployments for the GitHub repositories you connect to it. It’s free to use, it’s provided as is, and you stay responsible for your code and what you deploy with it.

About these terms

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) apply to your use of the hosted Deliverybot service at https://app.deliverybot.dev, the Deliverybot GitHub App and Slack app, and this website (together, the “Service”), operated by Deliverybot (“we”, “us” or “our”). By installing the GitHub App, signing in or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service for an organization, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these Terms on its behalf.

Deliverybot is also open source. Running the software yourself is covered by its open source license, not by these Terms.

Your account

You use the Service through your GitHub account, and your use of GitHub (and Slack, if you connect it) remains subject to their own terms. You’re responsible for activity in your account and in the repositories you install the GitHub App on, and for keeping the app’s access limited to what you want it to touch. Tell us at security@deliverybot.dev if you suspect your account or the Service has been misused.

Your content

Your code, configuration and deployment data stay yours. You give us permission to access, store and process them only as needed to run the Service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. We don’t use your content for marketing, and we don’t sell it.

Your deployments

Deliverybot acts on the instructions in your configuration and in the commands you and your collaborators send it, using the permissions you grant the GitHub App. You’re responsible for those instructions, for the systems you deploy to and for reviewing what gets deployed. Keep secrets in your own systems (for example, GitHub Actions secrets), not in your Deliverybot configuration.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service to break the law or to violate the rights of others;
• send it malware, or use it to attack, probe or disrupt other systems;
• try to access other users’ data, or get around the Service’s security or limits;
• put an unreasonable load on the Service, or use it in a way that harms other users.

Price and plans

The Service is currently free. We may introduce paid plans in the future, for example through GitHub Marketplace. If we do, we’ll describe what they cost and include before you’re asked to pay anything, and we’ll update these Terms first.

Availability and changes to the Service

We work to keep the Service running, but we don’t guarantee it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, limit or discontinue features, and we may suspend access when we need to protect the Service, its users or third parties. When we can, we’ll give notice of significant changes on this website.

Ending your use

You can stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the GitHub App and revoking its access in your GitHub settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or if keeping it would create a risk for the Service or others. The sections on your content, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law continue to apply after your use ends.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the Service, including failed, delayed or unintended deployments. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim, or €100 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer under mandatory law.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We’ll post the new version here and update the date above, and announce significant changes on this website before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, and disputes go to the competent courts there, unless mandatory law where you live gives you the right to use your local courts or laws.
